About Rosenkralle
Rosenkralle is an independent art project based in Paestum, in southern Italy. It develops limited-edition works at the meeting point of portraiture, music, cultural memory and contemporary image-making.
The project begins with figures whose work has entered a shared cultural imagination. Rather than illustrating biography, Rosenkralle creates new portraits that consider presence, character and the way historical personalities continue to live in the present.
Place
Paestum is both a physical base and a source of discipline: a landscape where archaeology, proportion, material and time remain visibly connected. Rosenkralle approaches this context with respect, without reproducing antiquity, and uses it as a point of departure for a contemporary language.
Practice
Each image is developed as an autonomous artwork and then translated into a carefully specified Fine Art Print. Attention is given to tonal depth, surface, scale, paper, mounting and the relationship between the image and its frame.
Editions
Works are released in limited, individually numbered editions. Every example is inspected and accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity with a matching security hologram. The engraved brass Rosenkralle emblem forms part of the finished presentation.
Conservation
Materials are selected with long-term display in mind: cotton Fine Art paper, acid-free museum-quality mounting and museum glass. Rosenkralle avoids exaggerated permanence claims and provides clear care guidance for collectors, conservators and institutions.
Independence
Rosenkralle is not a mass-production studio and does not reproduce works without edition control. The project develops slowly, keeps the number of releases limited and treats every print as a complete object rather than as a decorative poster.
Dialogue
The project welcomes contact with conservators, curators, archives, music institutions, cultural foundations and private collectors. Technical sheets, edition details and additional documentation can be supplied for professional review.
Rosenkralle seeks to create works that are visually immediate, materially considered and capable of sustaining a longer encounter.
